Karen, i am so sorry for your loss, you and your family are in my prayers. May he rest in peace.
Tommy always had a story to tell about the old days when he came to my store. He will be missed. Prayers go out to you and your family.
Tommy was a great friend and fellow member of the class of '58, and a band buddy in the Killeen HS Band. I remember after we graduated, he went to Tarleton, and I went to Arlington State College, now UTA. At a football game between ASC and Tarleton, our two bands were on the field at the same time during halftime. I was on the front row of my band, and as our two bands approached each other on the field, I looked up, and to my great surprise there stood Tommy, on the front row of his band - just few yards away. All we could was wave and laugh - great to see him so close, yet so far - Ha. A great memory of true friend. He will be missed.
I was in the band in Killeen and graduated with Tommy in 1958. He was a good friend and I know he will be greatly. missed. May God be with you.

Dearest Karen, my thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss. We loved Tommy and will forever keep him in our thoughts and memories. His cousin Pam Elliot Spencer and Family.
I was a employee of Mr Schroeder for many years. He was a very nice man but he did not play when it came to making money. I was very blessed to know him. I send my condolences to his children and his wives. May God give you comfort and strength in this time of loss. RIP TOMMY.
I was a blessing to have known Tommy. I remember all the good times with the band in high school. When I would see you in later years you always had time to a friendly hello. Prayers are with all the family in this time of grief. May God richly bless you with His comfort and peace. Patsy L. Webb (Jarrell, TX)
Rest in Peace Mr.Schroeder. It was always a pleasure, when I would see you, to stop & visit for a while. Praying for God's peace, comfort & strength at this time.
May you R.I.P. .....Joann Mieles
Some of my favorite memories of Popcorn are his compassion for his family and love of life. When I first had my daughter, I was having trouble breast feeding. So he went to the bookstore and bought a book on parenting. He brought it home and read the entire chapter on breast feeding to me, out loud! He was always there to support in anyway he could.
We also took many family vacation together. One time at the beach, he dumped a big bucket of sand on someone he thought was me! We laughed and laughed and am so glad that the stranger was a good sport about it. He even made sandcastles and smores with the kids. We even buried him in the sand that trip!
Popcorn, I love you so much and miss you already.
I am Popcorns stepgrandson. Some of my fondest memories are of when he took us fishing. Something strange would always happen, so it was never a dull trip. Most recently, we went on two deep sea fishing trips in Hawaii. He loved being on the boat and catching all the fish. He would help us in any way he could.
Also, when I was younger, my cousin (Joey) and I would jump off the landing at their Kempner house and onto a pile of pillows. Popcorn loved to hide and as we jumped, he would scare us. He loved to do stuff like that.
I love you Popcorn and will miss you.
I am Popcorn's stepgranddaughter. I was his "Tadpole". My favorite memory with Popcorn was recently when I bought my current husband, Tyson, home to meet him and get his approval. They bonded quickly and had good laughs and times. Popcorn also helped me pick out my wedding dress. I knew he wouldn't be able to come to my wedding so I made sure he was part of the wedding. I also named my baby Tayson Tommy in honor my Popcorn. I will miss him so much.
