I am a Northwestern Mutual Rep from Williamsburg, Va and Travis' presentation to our regional meetings earlier this year impacted me beyond belief. Listening to him, I was alternatively laughing and bawling. As a parent myself, my heart breaks for him and for all of you who will miss him. His love of life and love for his family shone through and his message to us was loud and clear. Please know you are in so many of our thoughts and prayers.
Hi Carrie I met you and Travis during your visit to NIH. I was very touched by his courage and lovely persona. My heart goes out to you and your family.
Carrie, I am sorry to hear about Travis. He was strong all the way. I am thankful for his and your friendship. Let me know if I can help in any way. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Good Bless!
I am a Northwestern Mutual Rep from Germantown, Wi. I heard Travis story in January and prayed for him always. I felt I knew him through the blog. My prayers are with you always. Angela Kjorlien (Germantown , WI)
I had the amazing fortune to meet Travis one weekend in Blue Ridge at Jason's house. I've never met someone who was so driven and lived life to the fullest as much as he did. I could tell that Travis was "full-throttle" all the time. I'll never forget when I offered him last year to join me on my brand new Jet Skis for a spin around the lake. As soon as I handed him the keys, he was gone! I honestly couldn't keep up with him as he was doing 70+ MPH on a supercharged Sea Doo. Later that day he invited me on his Ski Natique to try the new sport of wake surfing. Being a surfer years ago I thought it would be cool to give it try. He showed me the ropes and convinced me I could it despite not having surfed in 30 years. Sure enough, after a bit of coaching (and a few beers), I jumped right up on the board and surfed a wave on Blue Ridge! I owe Travis for my new love of wake surfing (and a new expensive surf boat!) Travis is in inspiration for all of us who lived life to fullest and cared deeply about his family and friends. Normally I would say rest in peace but Travis will be full-throttle in Heaven too! I can only imagine the hardscape he'll be creating for all of us to see!
Our family sends prayers with continued peace and memories filled with stories and laughter. Thank you for sharing such a person, moments and grief which have impacted in such a great way. May the Lord continue to walk with you and hold you and your children each day, to keep moving, standing tall and proud united together. Our hearts go out to you all.
Hello, I am an employee at the home office of Northwesternmutual. I can relate to your anguish. My beautiful sister Elaine age 53 passed away 5/20/2014 after a year of battling a rare and deadly cancer called leiomyosarcoma. A tumor in her abdomen attacking her liver. 5 doctors and many hospitals said they had never seen a tumor that big and half of them had never heard of it. Please know I share My pain and grief with you and offer my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your precious Travis. Be strong Always in our hearts.
We are praying for peace that passes all understanding and we are grateful for the legacy and witness that Travis left all of us.
Carrie, Our thought and prayers are with you and the family today and always. Hold tight to all the love and memories you shared with Travis. He will always be your guardian angel.
Travis Lee (Lero), you are forever in our minds and in our hearts. Your spirit will be close to our side. You brought tremendous joy to us as only you could do. We love you and miss you my friend. Carrie, Trey, Piper, and Jake we will forever be grateful for having shared moments with your Husband & Father. A Georgia boy with a larger than life personality. Prayers and fond memories are what we have to remember Travis Lee. May the love of family and friends comfort you during these difficult days, our most heartfelt condolences.
Rest In Peace, Travis Lee. Only knew him a little, but it was enough to know that the world has lost a good man.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Travis's family and loved ones, We pray that Christ's Peace and emotional healing that surpasses all understanding will rein moment by moment in their daily walk through this valley.
I don't you, but I am no stranger to loss. 10 months ago I lost my 10 yr old son. My heart hurts for you & your children. Right now you are in shock, but as the fog clears remember this-
When satan tries to remind you of the things in this life Travis was "cheated" of experiencing, let God remind you that the things Travis was "cheated" of in this world is NOTHING compared to the glory of being in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
Carrie, all I can think about is a conversation the Travis had in my office years ago where he went on and on about how much he loved you!! Then to follow the birth of the kids and his success made me so proud of him! No words will ever be expressed that can comfort you now. You will laugh and you will smile because you can't think of Travis and not do that. Prayers to you, your beautiful children, to the entire family and to all that have been blessed to have met this beautiful person!
We are sending continued prayers. Knowing Travis was a blessing in my life.
Hugs and Peace
Carrie and family,
Our prayers go out to you and the family at this time.
It was an honor and a pleasure knowing Travis and seeing his strength. He will be greatly missed.
Travis meant so much to all of us. He was special and that's no lie. He brightened up the darkest day and the cloudiest sky.
His smile alone warmed hearts. His laugh was like music to hear. I would give absolutely anything to have him well and standing near.
Not a second passes when he's not on our minds. His love we will never forget. The hurt will ease in time.
Many tears I have seen and cried, they have all poured out like rain. I know that you are happy now and no longer in any pain.
Rest in peace, my Angel. Until we meet again.
My heart goes to you and the family. Travis is is a better place. He will be truly missed. I'm so glad the Lord allow me the chance to get to know him. He fought a long hard fight. His faith remained with God during this time. I know this is hard on you and the family. Travis will tell you to continue to have the faith. I will miss him dearly, his jokes, his smiles and him just being Travis........
Travis, I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you on the tennis court whether playing with you or against you. You were a great competitor on the courts and in the game of Life. My prayers go out to Carrie and your family!

Knowing him has made me a better husband, father, and businessman as well as growing my faith. He fought the good fight, and he's left an enduring legacy of love and inspiration. I can't wait to see you again, my friend. I love you.
He brought color into the eyes of everyone he met. In his last days that intensified color reflected the brilliance of the Lord.
Thanks so much for sharing your journey with all of us. The impact it is making will not be know this side of Heaven. Travis knows and is rejoicing.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Carrie and kids...the home office at Northwestern Mutual had the privilege of watching the video of Travis and his agent...and after...your daily blog entries...we continued reading and praying daily...and now, there are no words except to say that the pride you must feel for what Travis accomplished in life must be overwhelming. Thanks to you and Travis for sharing why my job is important and why preparation is so absolutely necessary. The Roberts Family will always have a bright spot in my heart. Take care and know there are so many of us that hold you high!

Travis was the most accepting and kindest of spirits. He didn't judge anyone and he brought out the best in everyone around him. He will be missed dearly. Thank You for sharing him with us.
I knew Travis (Lee) in high school and remember him fondly. He was always fun loving young man. I am truly saddened that he has left us but his fight and spirit will live on. He has inspired this cancer survivor to continue to fight for others. My thoughts and prayers to his entire family and dear friends.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
We have never met you, and only learned of you once the fight with cancer had started. Many prayers were lifted up for you all. We walked along side of you through the blog. We shed tears with you. We now grieve with you.
We are so thankful that we all serve a God who is big enough to fill that empty spot in your hearts and home, with His love, comfort, and peace! And, that He will provide for all your needs. Looking forward to meeting Travis one day in Heaven!
Thinking of your family at this difficult time.
