"Captain Bill", God Bless you and smooth sailing forever. You were a dear friend and corporate giant in the industry. Bless you Susan for always being at Bills side.
First a boss, then a mentor, next a friend and finally family. We thank you for all of the above and we will cherish the memories forever. Love, Mark and Carol
Cousin Bill was one of the kindest people I know. On the first day of my father's wake, my mother, my husband, my three daughters and myself were approaching the funeral parlor at 12:30pm - about one half hour before the wake was to begin. Suddenly from across the street I saw Bill running toward us. When he reached our side of the street, he said to my husband, "I thought you might need another man with you today". He then took my arm and the hand of one of my daughters and accompanied us all inside. He had driven all the way from Long Island, N.Y. to Fort Lee, N.J. and waited (I have no idea how long) for us to arrive. He told no one of his plan - just showed up and stayed with us for the entire afternoon. I have never forgotten, and will always be grateful for this wonderful act of kindness.
I haven't seen Uncle Bill in many years, but I will never forget him. He had such charisma and warmth. He was a truly special person, very funny, and very kind.
you always be rembered , I am what i am because of you .
you always be in my hearth . you"ll never be forgotten
We are deeply saddened to hear of Bill's passing. Our hearts and our prayers go out to you and the entire Abbate family. We truly cherished the time that you & Bill spent with us at Royal Palm Place and we feel truly honored to have known Bill. We will always remember his kindness, his gentle spirit, his great big smile & his very positive outlook on life itself. May you find peace and comfort during this very difficult time.
