Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
To the Fowler family, sincere condolences. I have been a friend of Willie at the Y for many years. He was very generous with his time giving me a great field trip in the plant before he retired. Holly, I remember you as one of the best in the campus eateries. I often asked Willie about you. Gilles Allard, prof.emeritus of geology, UGA

It's hard to know what to say, except that that we are thinking of you in friendship and sympathy.
Dear Jane, Holly and Laura,
Please accept my condolences on behalf of my parents (Dillard and Jeanette Nix) and myself on the death of Willie. I can still see his winsome smile lighting up the room. Daddy loved talking Ga. football with him. Those stories will now continue in Paradise. Be assured of my thoughts and prayers in this time of grief.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this time. Mr. Fowler was always a pleasure to see with his ever smiling face. He will be missed.
My deepest sympathy and love to the family in this time of sorrow.
Jane, Holly, Laura and family: I am sad this morning to learn of Willie's death. When I became a part of the YMCA handball group in the 1970's, Willie was the ultimate, classic "tough guy" handball player. It was later that I learned that beneath that exterior was a man with a heart of gold, somone whose eyes would fill with tears when he talked about about my soldier son and his service and sacrifice. My life was richer because Willie was my friend. I'll never forget him, and I'll pray that God will provide you with a comforting and healing presence in the days ahead. Drew Marshall
