My condolences to Bill's family. During his Willow Run career he was instrumental in making possible my first career opportunities with GM. I will remember him always.
Bill was such a kind & wonderful friend to my family over the years. Our children played together when they were young. Bill even gave our daughter Kristine the nickname "the bean" which has stuck with her. We will miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with my best friend Margaret and her son Paul.
Kerstin Hoeldtke & family
To Paul and family,
We are sad to learn of Bill's passing.
I grew up with Bill and we enlisted in the Air Force at the same time along with Sam Nicolaou. Being the first time away from home, the 3 of us stayed very close to each other and that friendship continued thru the years. ]
Bill assisted Judi and I when we moved back to Ann Arbor in 1992, and also helped with the sale of our home 3 yrs. later.
I have wonderful memories of Bill and his kindness to all who knew him.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this sad time. The wonderful memories will live on.
Gretchen and I send our regards to the Hallas family. Bill and I grew up together and went to the same schools during our growing up years. We both attended EMU for one semester before he, Skip Reichenberger and myself joined the Air Force together. He and I stayed in touch over the phone a little after we both lost a son and could console each other somewhat. He was one heck of guy!!!!
Our condolences to the Hallas family. Bill and my dad grew up together and Bill sold my husband and I our home which we still live in. I think of Bill often when the clock he gave us chimes on the hour. It was such a lovely thoughtful housewarming gift just like Bill always was.
Condolences to the Hallas Family. I well remember how important and helpful Bill and Margaret were at Bader School when their children were young. Keep the good memories close.
Our condolences to the Hallas family. Although we did not get to spend that much time with him, when we did, we could see that Bill was a great husband, father, and grandfather. You will be in our prayers.
We are so sorry about your loss. I worked with Bill at GM Willow Run. He was a nice person to work with. I'm sure all who knew him will miss him.
Our prayers go out to Mrs. Hallas, Paul, Juli and the kids. May God's light be with you during this difficult time.
My condolences to Bill's family, he was a pleasure to work with in the community. He was willing to mentor new realtors and always had a kind word to say. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Dear Hallas Family,
I worked with Bill at the Surovell office and he was always available to help anyone who needed it. He was an impeccable professional and his approach to business was personal and what is now called 'old school'. I fondly remember how he felt about changing over to voice mail instead of getting written messages from our secretary. Because we loved him, we all indulged his preferences. He was a kind, sensitive man and will be missed.
Oh gosh - - such a wonderful man. So much more than a stellar Realtor. He could act gruff and gnarly, but the twinkle in in his eye gave it all away. He was kind and generous, big of stature and heart. Though I hadn't seen him in some time, it was a privilege to know and work with Bill. I enjoyed his humor and his witty sarcasms, - - he could give it and take it - - but that didn't eclipse his caring, honest, and thoughtful nature. Sail on, Bill. You will be missed and remembered.
Dear Margaret and Paul,
I will remember Bill with fond memories of a man who knew the value of a dollar and a full day's work. I know that he put time into raising his boys to be good men. I am sorry I cannot be with you for his service, but hope you know that your friends and families thoughts and prayers are with you.
Bill was awesome! He would sit up at the front desk with me and help answer phones when I worked at Surovell, and we would trade stories. I remember going to lunch with him and his lovely wife at Barton CC and feeling like a "big wig." He was a fine man, and was well liked and will be sorely missed.
Margaret and family. So sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.
When I was a new agent at Surovell Realtors, Bill Hallas was such a good guy, answering my questions, making suggestions, and offering encouragement. He was a good son, visiting his mother every day at lunch. He was a good man and he is missed greatly. There's a special place in heaven for Bill Hallas.
