I have known Billy since back in the early 70's motorcycle racing days when my late husband and I went to watch him, Butch, Speedball and others race. In recent years, I have remained friends with Billy through the Moose Lodge. He will be truly missed. He was one of the good guys. We talked often about life in general, and he talked a lot about his granddaughter. He was so proud of her. I hope God has motorcycles and pool tables up there.

Billy was a great guy. I looked up to him and credit a big part of my career to him because he would get me out of high school early and take me to the race track to help him on his racecar. He always made time to help me with my technical drawing and math homework while I was in high school. I loved the jokes and the great since of humor he had. He was a great man and will truly be missed by everyone who came in contact with him. GODSPEED Billy.

We lived behind Bill for many years. My kids enjoyed seeing all his race cars and motorcycles. My husband and him shared many stories about Atlantic City's winnings or losings. We were so sad to hear the news. We no longer live behind him but he was still considered a special neighbor to us. We will miss him and may god be with the family.

I bought my first race car from Billy a 1947 Ford coupe in 1959 this was when Billy and I were racing together at the old “Dude Ranch Raceway”. Billy and I were members of Wythe Fire Department in the 50's and 60's and went to school together. Billy will be sorely missed. I will cherish the memories I had of Billy back when we hung out at Wythe Fire House and the gas station across the street.

Billy was the man I was lucky enough to call my "second dad" for the past 22 years. Words cannot describe how much you mean to me. My mom loved you very much & I am grateful you were in our lives for all these years. You taught me so many things & the memories we shared will forever be a part of my heart. You are truly one of a kind. Thank you for treating me as your own. You will always be with me wherever I go. I Love You!!

What wonderful years we had growing up on Hollywood Avenue in Hampton - joy and fun were fantastic. My brother (another Billy) and I lived next door to Billy & Tommy and loved Wythe. Billy was a special and great friend - a member of the fabulous Hampton High School Crabbers class of 1960!!! We were the second graduating class from the high school on Queen Street.

Blessings and peace to Billy's family and loved ones. Be strong in the Lord as you grieve for this wonderful guy.

With love and fond memories,
