Bill was one of the most caring and kind men I ever worked for at Mountain Bell. He listened, he understood and he supported all those he knew. Got Rest your soul Bill. Knowing you was my great pleasure!

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I will always remember 4th of July celebrations on S.Fillmore Court and Mr. Sarber bringing the homemade ice cream...and of course all of us taking turns with the crank! All my best during this difficult time.

I was so sorry to hear about Bill. I was lucky enough to get to know him when he volunteered at The Telecommunications History Group. We at THG all think of him fondly, and often chuckle at some remembered clever remark of his. Our thoughts are with his family.

For all of Bill's friends at THG...

Typical of Bill's humble, soft spoken approach to all events, I never knew he was also a war hero. He was my boss in Yellow Pages sales and a resource later in Labor Relations. Wise, caring, subtle humor, mentor, and decisive. I admired, respected, and honored his presence in my life. For me, Bill was one of those guardian angels we meet in life only to realize it much later.

The family is in my thoughts and prayers. May my grandmother, Bill's sister Etta Mae, greet him with open arms at the gates of heaven. I love you all and God Bless.
