I remember first meeting Pete at their apartment in Fall River and the treacherous stairs. I wondered quietly to myself how are they navigating these? I went in to their place and immediately was taken by Pete's great smile and he started into a great joke that to this day I can get a smile from anyone I tell it to. I loved his card playing ability and his great knowledge of the automotive world. You will always be in my thoughts because people never die as long as they are remembered.
I will never forget how Grandpa would hold my face and kiss me and call me his jellybean. He used to say Danielle, Kristin and I were his "jellies". I learned so many things from Grandpa that have enriched my life. When I tell people stories or about the things that Grandpa taught me, they often ask how I know that. I always tell them that my Grandpa taught me, that he used to tell great stories to all of us and taught his Grandchildren so many things, especially about history and the world. I will cherish these memories forever and miss Grandpa dearly.
My dear friend, Pete, I remember the evening that we first met. I never imagined what a special relationship that would develop. You became such a special friend to me. You were always there to talk to and confide in. You will always have a special place in my heart. I will miss you very, very much. I love you, Adelino Borges.
My Uncle, my godfather and my pitch partner. I'll always remember our Sunday pitch games at the "summer home," and how special I felt that you wanted me to be your partner. And you were always the go to person when buying a car. Thanks for the wonderful memories. Joyce
My condolences on your loss.
