A Man Named Al
I met a man named Al awhile ago
He was tall & proud & full of wit.
He had a love for his family
They were close knit.
When he spoke of his children
He’d smile so wide
When he spoke of his grand kids
He’d beam with pride.
His love, it was Shirley
Their marriage 52 years.
She said in all that time
He never gave her tears.
But the Lord decided
To take him home
We must always remember
We are not alone.
His memory & love
We’ll carry with us here
Until that wonderful time
That he will meet us There.
Love, Chris & Steve
hello, i am one of alfred's grandchildren. and as you all know this great man was a military man. which is one of the many qualities that made him such a great grandfather. and what i as one of his 5 grandchildren look up to the most. and as he has passed, it is my honor now to follow in his footsteps. although i wish he could physically be here to watch me in the process of joining the greatest military fighting force in america, the USMC. but i know he can still see me doing it and now i shall do it all in his honor. everyday or every year that i spend in the marines will be for him, and it will forever represent his memory in my life. i will miss you very much grandpa. i wish you could see me in 3 months when i return from my basic training. because i know you would be very proud. love your grandson,
The kindest man that ever lived
I can say that without telling a fib.
He loved trains, my Mom and his kids
But most of all his GRANDKIDS.
Jessica, David, Matthew, Justin and Ian
Were all a big part of his being.
Spending time with all of us
He showed love, care and trust.
Now that he is not here
He is without pain and fear.
"I love you Dad" always and forever.
I will see again someday wherever...
We miss you a whole bunch and always will. "There's a hole in my heart that can only be filled by you" and all we have now are WONDERFUL memories of good times with your quick wit, positive influence and guidance, and a caring heart and soul to keep us on the right path of life, learning to stand right back up when we fall and not lose faith in our short stay here on this earth, God's wonderful planet!!
Love ya and miss you forever,
Donna and Jorge
