We didn't get to see Al very often, mainly at Kimber's birthday parties, but we did enjoy those times together. We'll miss you, my friend.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Elaine and her extended family.
Al's memorial was an excellent tribute to him. He led a very interesting life and enjoyed sharing his experiences with everyone. Al had a very generous heart of gold, always giving things away. He made it clear to us that if we ever needed anything just ask, he might just have what we needed.
Since he was diagnosed with ALS he never complained about his physical condition, and in fact he told us recently he wasn't worried about it. Obviously he knew where he was going and wasn't afraid of it. What a testimony!
I know Al appreciated the love and care given to him by Elaine which was a tribute to their relationship and life together.
From your talkative nature to your enduring kindness, you have always been a friend to me. I shall miss the retelling of Tonto, but most of all I shall miss you.
From dinner companion, taxi man and traveling companion you were always the best.
From the instant we met we knew we were meant for each other and accepted each other with unconditional love. We did and shared more than I ever dreamed was possible. You made me complete and I know you felt the same. Thank you for telling me you loved me every day, for being there through all the ups and downs, telling me I looked nice every day and appreciating the little things that made us one. I so love and miss you and the void is almost unbearable. I am comforted by the fact that God took you before you had to suffer. He is truly a loving, kind god. We knew what was ahead and I am so glad we did not have to go down that path. Thank you for the memories I will carry with me forever. You are truly the love of my life and I cherish every moment we had together. I Love You......
