The Board of Directors of the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio, along with the President and myself, extend our deepest sympathies to the Antunez family. Dr. Antunez served the medical profession well and duly devoted his efforts to the profession and the community. He shall be missed.
A mentor, a gentleman (and Mrs., a gentlewoman) who believed in the goodness of people, and who believed in me at the beginning of my career. It was my privilege to bask in the light of his mentorship and share no small number of mulligans over the years! He influenced my critical oncology thinking but more importantly, was a role model for leading with the heart. God Bless us all, for it will be a struggle to love life as much as he did. Our sympathies to the families of this great couple.

Antonio has been a dear friend since I came to this country over 50 years ago. We were residents together and enjoyed many good times. I will miss him. My condolences and deepest sympathies to the Antunez family.
