Arthur Heitzman 1921 - 2013

Arthur Heitzman

July 21, 2013
It was a joy to have been under the wing of this wonderful mentor and friend who guided this young egotist to the fine art of photography, inspiring me to become more gentle in my pursuit. Arthur once told me to always find the one becoming charm in everyone I photographed and let that be my point of focus and flattery in my approach to capturing the true being of my subject. I so enjoyed our long talks on our Southwest trips.

My condolences to all those he loved as well as they that loved him, Arthur or ACH as he was to so many.

Arthur enjoy your journey, with love Ken Hare

I worked with Mr. Heitzman from the late 70's to the early 80's at Gittings. He was the real deal, an artist, a teacher, and a friend to all of us "formerly" young photographers trying to get started. We will miss him till we all meet again.
