Dear Barbara,

While you were with us on this earth you were a mother. A wonderful and loving mother. The mother of our three children. Though you have left us for the heavenly realm you are still our children's mother and I wish you a happy mother's day. I think of you often and will always love you.

with love,

Memories of death escape me and I resound, "Where's Mom?"
A flood of the decline sinks in me.
And such a sadness wells inside me of all the missed things to come.

My Dearest Barbara,

Today you would've been 65. I've been thinking about you this morning and how much I loved you and our life together. Our life together ended all too soon. I'm so sorry your end (our end) had to be so tragic. But you are now without pain and suffering. I know you are with Jesus now and your heavenly life is now full of happiness, joy, peace, rest, and uninhibited mobility. I know you've checked on me from time to time. The evidence has been overwhelming. And I'm still anticipating a visitation dream so real and so comforting that I will know I've been given a gift of comfort from the Holy Spirit.

I know you know September 15th I remarried. I know you know I couldn't have gone on without someone to love and care for and someone to love and care for me back. Irene, 6 years widowed, is a wonderful woman, a spiritual woman, full of goodness, kindness, and love -- and I love her deeply. I like to think you had a hand in our meeting at the Church Bazaar, that you gave me that little nudge toward the sweets booth where she was working.

Barb, I want you to know on this special day that I will always love you. And know that you will always reside in my heart.

I love you,
