Bernie and I started our Boeing careers at approximately the same time. We became good friends sharing assignments as manufacturing engineering managers on the 7J7 startup and certification of the 747-400. In all respects Bernie's technical knowledge and grasp of product and process were outstanding. His ability to accomplish difficult tasks in challenging environments was unparalleled- always with a smile!.
We will miss you, Bernie.
