I worked with Mrs. Akins for many years at her financial institution. I referred to her as my grandmother. She was the sweetest grandmother and always went out of her way to show me love and warmth, even when she wasn't feeling well. She was an angel among us and I am sure she is happy again with her love, Perry. Many blessings to those she loved and who loved her.
Ohhhh, our sweet Aunt Betty Jo. I sure loved to hear her laugh. It is so fun to see her here with a fishing pole. Grandma Boyd loved to fish. Reminds me of her. Betty Jo looks a lot like Grandma Hub in many of these pictures too.
She will be missed. I loved her very much and am so sorry for your loss. She was a lovely, sweet lady. I am blessed to have known her as my Aunt Jo.
Dearest Family, I can't find enough words to express how much I loved and cared for Betty. Her joyful perspective on life and her contagious love is something I will always remember. I feel honored and blessed to have known such a wonderful woman. I'm also blessed to know each of you, praying for you and thinking about you often during this time. With Love
Johnny, Debbi, & Chloe--Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. We loved your mom, she was a wonderful person and always treated us and our kids like we were family, we will miss her dearly.
Love Always, Paul, Sheryl, Kyle & Paige
Betty Jo was very special to me; a better Mamaw there never was. I ache not to be there for her memorial; I would have liked to have gone for her and Paco both. You are all in my heart and thoughts; for it is we the living that must wait so long to see her again. I know BettyJo is already fishing on the peaceful shores of Heaven...and that makes me smile, even through the bitterness of loss. Deepest condolences, to our Texas Family.
