Bobby Anderson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 24, 2013.

Bucky Anderson was born Bobby Brantly Anderson to Bobby and Elba Anderson, in Camden, Texas on the 11th of February 1945.

He joined the United States Air Force at the age of 20 (from 1965-1969). He married Peggy Ruth Cornett in 1967 and they moved to Turkey while he completed his tour in the Air Force. While in Turkey they joined bowling leagues and had an amazing chapter in their life.

He was predeceased by his dad, Bobby, and mom, Elba, sister, LaDell Anderson, brother John Anderson, and wife, Peggy,

He is survived by his son, Robert Anderson and wife Andrea; and son, James Brantley Anderson (Jake) and wife, Ruth Ann, and grandchildren, Krista, Cody, Reed, Emma and Nicholas. Nina Walker Anderson and seventeen grandchildren.

During his life journey he was a son, brother, Airman, husband, father, PeePaw and so much more. Dad loved working for the Houston Mounted Patrol and City of Galena Park. He was also the mosquito man, the dog catcher, the bird man, and candy man.

He was saved and became a child of God while married to Nina Sue Walker.

After suffering a stroke, he lived at Atria in Kingwood for 5 years where he continued his role as dad, PeePaw, bird man, and candy man.

Dad passed peacefully surrounded by his family. He was loved by so many and well known for his crazy, fun antics. Dad left us so many memories which we will always cherish.

Bucky was a ownderful next door neighbor at Atria. He is missed by all of us .

March 25, 2013

I worked at City Hall when Bucky was still there. However we knew him from Little League Baseball, too. He coached our son Mike Cooper. When he drove by and picked up all the boys on the team for practice it was quite a sight. Boys hanging out of the crazy driven truck and laughing. They had a ball and Bucky urged them on. Some parents never came to a practice or a game, but he made sure that his team had a ride each and every time.
When dealing with dogs, people would tell him, "oh my dog doesn't bite". Bucky would answer, the dog has teeth doesn't he?, then he will bite.
Our thought and prayers are with you, his family. Treasure all those memories he left you with. Love Tom and Cathy Cooper, and Mike Cooper
