Andrew and Mrs. Akabane,
On today you will by saying good bye to your dearest father, husband, and friend . I am so very sorry for your loss. I pray God's peace, which He has provided to each of His children. As each of you figure out life without your dad/father's physical presence, please know he can always be with you in spirit. I will keep you in my prayers, to the Lord who keeps his children in perfect peace. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, sitting at the right hand of the Father. I pray you find comfort in knowing that he is in a much better place and is smiling down on each of you every day! God Bless you and your family today and always

My thoughts are with the Akabane's today as they say goodbye to dear Brian. You were such an inspirational athlete and I hold dear the times us PEST kids grew up together and cherish all the wonderful family I have to this day b/c of those times. I'll remember trips to Oceans of Fun, Show-Me State Games, and all the times Brian would reign us in before getting up to too much trouble. You will be missed and my heart goes out to your family and those who were priviledged enough to call you a friend ----AJ Fisher
I knew Brian while at Missouri State University. During that time he left a deep impression on me as a man of integrity and honor. He was able to enjoy life while always being a great role model for others. He and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.
