I am so shocked and saddened to find this out today...Cary and I go back to 1978 ( I think) We worked together, we travelled cross-country together and did a lot of other fun things together, she was a wonderful friend.I have been gone from Va. for 27 years and we rarely saw each other since I left..but I always knew I was loved...Cary always let the people she loved, know it, she couldn't help herself. I only hope that she knows that I love her too ...I hate that I have missed her service and everything...but I didn't know that she had passed. My prayers for her family..they have lost a treasure.......

I taught Cary more years ago than I care to remember but I will always remember her open face, open heart kindness - she had a clear light about her that I will keep.

Cary was loving, funny and so heroic. She always had an eye open for ways she could help, no matter what your species. I remember her giant bags of birdseed and her feeding station for deer that had to be dismantled when everyone realized that bringing deer so close to the house was unsafe for them and their food might be the reason the garage was full of mice ... Despite her multiple physical disabilities, her spirit was intact, courageous and strong. Maybe her heart gave out because she used it up early, sending out enough love for multiple life times, in her half-century-plus on the earth. Peace to you and wing tips of orange and purple, Cary!
