We ever so fondly remember Charlie as the always smiling and welcoming presence at the stage door at the Centre in the Square. My husband and I would be gently chided by Charlie if we arrived a little too close to concert time. Charlie always had a few kind words for everyone who walked through the doors. Our teenaged daughter, who played in the youth orchestra for several years also remembers Charlie. He will be missed. Our sincere condolences.

I am so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. I was always so happy to be greeted by Charlie at the stage door at Centre in the Square. We had some meaningful conversations over the years. I have missed him this year, and have been thinking about him often.
I always got such a warm greeting from Charlie whenever I conducted at the Centre in the Square. I will miss seeing him at concerts in the future and my thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Edwin Outwater, Music Director Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony
