I am so sad to hear of Captain Lowrie's passing! I would like to wish the family (both close and extended) my heart felt condolences. We used to attend the same Church when I was young at the Grangerland Church of Christ and he always had some funny song he would sing for us. Later when I went to work for the Montgomery County SO he was instrumental in helping me get hired on and he even sold me my very first duty weapon. Charles was the best supervisor (and friend) a guy could have. He could be so stern and then give you that gentle 'hmm' at the end to let you know, he had your back. We all used to get him off track any time he was chastising us about something, we would ask him something about when he was in the service. He would start off on a tangent about some 'war' story or another and we would listen to him for an hour or more. He truly was the best! I know the family will hurt for a time but at least we can all feel comforted that he is with our Lord and Savior. Though I wasn't a marine, Semper Fi, Charles. And he truly was!
