Dear Family, We are so sorry for your loss. He sounded to be quite a man. We do remember meeting him and enjoyed him and Frances that day.

Dear Frankie & Kids I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Raiford. Although he left Pelham when I was very young. I have many memories of him. I can still remember the first time he brought you Frankie down to Pelham shortly after you were married. You stayed with us at Aunt Sadie house. My prayers & thoughts are with you & family during this time. Love Lottie Beavers

To express in words how much we Love Charlie and his family is difficult. It is that brotherly Love, only possible because of what Jesus has done for us ,which makes it an eternal Love ! Charlie was a very dear and wonderful friend to us and also every life he touched. The first time I saw Charlie was in about 1960 when as a child riding in the car with my mom she spotted him on Market street and was excited to see him as she listened to him on the radio.Well, Janet and I met him at the mountian opry about eight years ago.He sang the gospel with us about the last seven years, and even though we were beginners at music,he taught and helped us.It is very rare that anyone with the Huge talent of Peanut would dare play or help or encourage someone as he did us.that was Peanut ! God provided and blessed us greatly allowing us to know and sing and fellowship with such a giant of a man.We send our prayers and condolences out to the family as we wipe tears from our face.Charlie will be missed and not forgotten.
