Cilla and I were so upset to hear about Christy. You have our deepest sympathy and our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Although we lived quite a long way away from Gaborone we used to see a lot of you both at the many folk shows in which the Phikwe folkies combined forces and played with The Lads - Christy, Richard, Joe and Mel. Gigs in Phikwe, Gabs, Jwaneng, Bulawayo, Jo'burg - international folk super stars - well almost! Wonderful times! Fantastic memories. Thank you Christy - you were a good friend and someone that we'll never forget.

Darling Charlotte , Sam and family,

The last year has been the worst for all of us and so hard to cope with. However, we have kept in touch regularly and have been able to talk about the the good and funny times that we have had over the years. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't. No doubt Christy and Joe are busy annoying everyone the otherside of the pearly gates with their Irish songs and practicing for Paddy's night! I still can't believe it is 12 months since Christy left us, but you have been such a good friend in keeping in touch, despite your own loss, and hopefully I have been the same for you. I will have a glass of wine tonight and raise a glass to all of you. As a family we love you so much and hope to see you soon. Thinking of you all, especially today. Loads of love Glyn xxx
