Margaret came into my life as a client in 2002 or 2003. I had the privilege of taking care of Margaret's feet and hearing of many of her life's experiences. She loved her children very much. Margaret and I enjoyed being involved with the Comox Valley Clown Club over the past couple of years. We had many laughs. I will miss our friendship very much. May God give John and Jean and their families much comfort during this most difficult time. Heather Dirks aka Marmalade the clown.

Margaret aka Livingston came into my life as a client. I had the privilege of taking care of Margaret's feet and hear of many of her life's stories. Her love for her children was very obvious. We did some clown club activities together and had many laughs. I will miss her very much. Heather Dirks aka Marmalade

Margaret and I met in January 2008, when we both signed up for Clown Club at the Campbell River Community Centre. It was the beginning of a treasured and truly fun friendship that doesn't happen often in life. We especially enjoyed shopping for clown wear togethe as well as performing on Quadra Island and at various locations with Judy throughout Campbell River. I miss you, Livingston Clown. Thank you for being my friend. All my love, Giggles (aka Gina).

Life only gives you one Margaret, I thought, when I heard the news, and now it's over. I feel bereft, as though someone has snipped off a corner of me. But it's not over, of course. I'm so grateful to have many, many memories of my almost thirty-year friendship with my wise and plucky friend.

Though we lived far apart for most of those years, we kept in touch, and she continued to bless my life with her cheery words. On our occasional visits (as I had moved far) we caught up quickly, and remembered why God had allowed our paths to cross--we were truly kindred spirits.

I expect to visit Margaret again, over tea, if heaven has such, with the bagpipes playing Amazing Grace in the background. We'll have plenty of catching up to do, she and I.

John and Jean and family...my husband and I pray God comforts you with precious memories of your irascible, irresistable, irreplaceable mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Though imported from Scotland, she was truly a national treasure.
