Jeannette,
I just today heard of Danny's passing. As I ran into him over the last few months, I was struck by his courage and his determination. He fought a brave fight, but that's what we'd expect from Danny. As many have said here, he was the type of person everyone loved and respected. He always had a smile and a good word, even as he told me of his illness. While I know he's in a better place, I still grieve with you in your loss. I pray that you all will remember the many, many happy times you enjoyed with Danny, and in the process that God will comfort you. I will keep you all in my prayers.

I will continue to pray for you all. One of the things I loved about Danny is that he trusted me to coach when he wasn't there. Not everyone would have handed the reins over to a woman, but Danny would and did. I know you will all miss him so much. God bless all of you.

Jeanette, Lee, Danielle, and family,
I am truly so sorry to hear about Danny. He was a good man, fun-loving guy, and great softball coach. Our family loved going to the games to cheer on the team. When they were a little younger, the kids would always ask me if Mr. "Pickle" was going to coach the game; I thought that was so funny, and Danny had a good laugh when I told him. I know the days ahead will be tough but eventually time will ease the pain. Praise God that Danny is now with his King and no longer in pain. Our family loves you all and will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Jeannette...you and your kids, grand kids, and entire family are in my thoughts tonight, and have been since yesterday when I heard the news. I know the days and weeks ahead are going to be very tough, cause you have loved Danny for so long. But after seeing the strength and the courage that you have shown throughout this journey, I have no doubt that you will be ok. You have a extended family at your church and at work, who love you and will be there when you just need a shoulder to cry on. And even though I regret not getting to see Danny, I think now it was a blessing, because I want to remember the Danny I knew, not the one this cancer had made him. He was a dear sweet man, and I will miss seeing him at the top of the choir loft! God bless you all!
