My wife, daughters and I were blessed to be David's neighbors when we lived in Woodbridge. He was an interesting, quick-witted fellow with a kind soul and a heart of gold. It was soothing to have his grandfatherly spirit in our lives, and we always enjoyed our visits with him and his stories of being one of Woodbridge's first residents back when there was more wildlife than people in that area of the city. I'll always remember the time or two we took him with us out to Christmas in the Park at Longview Lake. He found so much joy in seeing the lights and sharing that experience with our daughters. David will be missed. May he rest in peace.
