I met David through Mike Wheeler, they were both good friends. David and I used to go to Royals games together, he never missed opening day....he was an awesome person.

Laura,Christie & Carl & Jennie. I met wild man David in high school, when he was 14 and I was 16. My dad called him my shadow, because he was always with me. We had a very strong bond and friendship. Too many stories to tell, after I joined the Marines in Feb of 68 and was in my third month in good old Vietnam, I received a letter from David (we wrote back and forth a lot)and he told me that he and Mike wheelelr had joined the Marines. I wrote back and told him not to go into the Marines, but guess what he said too bad too late already in. I have seen David off and on for the next 44 years and we always had a blast and laughed told jokes and just enjoyed life. I am still stunned about his passing. He will be missed terribly. So have a cold one on ice for me when it is my turn to come up and say hi to all of the other great Marines for me. God bless you David and SEMPER FI my Marine brother and great friend.

Laura, Christie & family,
Although I never met you personally, I want to express my sympathy as you honor your father. He served in the Marines with my father. 'Beng'(as my parents called him) held me when I was first born, attended my wedding, and was a constant friend to both of my parents through the years. May you remember him with pride for his love for the Marine Corps, and for his friends. God Bless!

WOW David, I can't believe you're gone, it's just not right. I look around the lake house and you are everywhere, from the beautiful eagle you gave us to the CoCo Loco dog that Mike just hates. You would enjoy that, I hung it where it barks at him every time he comes up the steps. I see you on the dock, on the back patio talking on the phone to your girls. You'd love what we did with that area. I see you every Saturday morning when I use the skillet you gave me. Buddy, through all the thick and thin, I'll miss you and your pranks. RIP David. I'll always remember you.

Laura - thinking of you and Christie during this time. Also remembering your Dad when he lived next door. I have a vivid memory of him having borrowing a blue convertable sports car (a trans am tht was your uncles i think) and taking us all out for rides. I also remember going to one of his restrauants and him giving us a sundae bar which I ate until I almost threw up.Not sure if you remember those times but I always will.
