To the Gutierrez family, my heart and prayers go out to you! I am sorry to hear of the loss of David! I went to St. Francis of Assisi with David for 8 years and he was a kind and funny person. It's wonderful to know that David had such a wonderful family and a wonderful police family. May God Bless you David, you will be truly missed!

To The Gutierrez Family: I am so sorry about DJ. He was indeed one-of-a-kind. If you only knew of the laughter, jokes, and good times he made of work. He was always a friend whose shoulder you could lean on and he will be greatly missed by me. The last time I talked with him he was eager to leave the department and spend time with all of you. He took such pride in you and showed your photos to anyone who would look. He told of all your successes as well. I hope you find peace in knowing that he was very highly thought of by so many of us. A friend.

My sincere condolences to your family. I am sorry to hear of David's passing. We attended St. Francis and St. Pius together. It is truly wonderful to hear what a great man Dave became. He always had a warm, funny personality and strong convictions. RIP, Dave, old friend.
