I was very saddened to hear about David. He and I worked together for many years. I will always remember David as the ultimate Aggie engineer who loved solving problems. He was generous in sharing his expertise and teaching others. As you navigate this difficult time, I hope you will find solace in all the fond memories.

David was my friend and coworker for many years. He was also a fairly regular member of a lunch group in the site cafeteria that was one of the noisiest generally with a lot of laughter. David once told us a story of a cow that went over a 10 foot fence to be reunited with its calf. Naturally we were not buying that a stubby legged heavy bovine could make a leap that would challenge a gazelle and gave him much grief. But since we were engineers we then spent the next 10 minutes devising ways the cow could have gotten over the fence. Dave then volunteered that after much bumping and butting of the fence a section had fallen over! The fence was horizontal when the cow crossed but Dave was quick to point out the cow did go over a 10 foot fence to get to her calf. This story reminds me of Dave's impish nature but it also reminds that sometimes we will be separated from those we love by what appears to be barriers that can't be crossed. But with time all fences, all walls, and all barriers will fall and we will be reunited with those we love - Troy Cooper
