I just learned of Sr's passing. Please accept my consolences. He will be missed.
It truly was a pleasure working with the Bisplinghoff men. Don Sr, Jr and Bitsy. After all these yrs, I still look back with fond memories.
My first introduction to Don Bisplinghoff was at Lettermen's Golf Day at UF. I had heard Don's niece, Liz, speak well of him often. He had competed that day not long after one of his brain surgeries. His head was still shaven from the surgery. He was the winner of the longest drive among his golfing peers young and old. He acquired several accolades that day. What an amazing man who celebrated life. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family and friends.
Never a dull moment when you were in the presence of Donald Sr. His ability to converse in such a way you knew his words were truthful and sincere and spoken with years of experience behind them. His wonderful humor would cheer the saddest mood. He was a blessing to all who knew him. A true Southern gentleman. I will miss him.
On behalf of Simplex and its employees we want to extend our deepest regrets in the passing of Don Sr.. It was a privledge and honor know him. Don Sr. was a man of great character and a good friend to us here at Simplex. I will miss hearing his voice on the other end of the phone. Jeff Kurtz, Simplex Nail Americus Georgia
