I can't believe Chief Allen is not here doing all the many things he did. (I don't know where he found the time - teaching, Toastmaster's, Suicide Prevention Center, etc. - I think he was busier after he retired from the Air Force.) I was pleased to serve many years with Eddie in the Air Force and to continue crossing paths with him since. He was always helping others, including trying to keep me straight at Wright-Patterson AFB. He was gracious in his interactions with superiors, peers, and subordinates. He loved his family passionately, was very proud of them, and talked about them often. I liked hearing his stories. I'll miss you Chief.
My condolences to all the Allen family,
Brien W. Dyer, Colonel, USAF, (Ret.)
