We are so sorry to hear of the events of last Tuesday. We know Ed will be greatly missed. We will always remember the good times…and there were many…fireworks by the lake in Columbia, MO, practical jokes, canoeing in Indiana, camping at Wisconsin Dells (30 degrees and raining), Ed tackling the suicide water slide at the Dells, camping at Mackinac Island (rental bikes with harsh seats and flat tires, Nate sleeping in the bike seat), Beaver Tales, Santa Claus visiting the house in Duluth, Ed learning golf, camping with stories around the campfire, and of course fishing. We also remember when Ed accepted Christ and was baptized, and his new found zeal. We hadn't had the opportunity to see as much of Ed in recent years, but it was good to see him again at Nate and Abby's wedding.
Nate and Abby, Cathy, we know your loss is great. May you be comforted again in the knowledge that the separation is but temporary.
Love,
Uncle John and Aunt Pam

So sorry to hear about Ed. I knew Ed when he and my big brother David were good friends in high school and canoe racing partners. I will always remember his love of animals and especially his pet raccoon. I had just reconnected with Ed through facebook when David passed away suddenly in January. Perhaps they are canoe racing together again.
