Edith L .Gatlin, 64, of Albion passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall. She was born in 1946 in Detroit, Michigan to Raymond Frances and Helen Ramsey Southern. On March 28, 1970 she was married to Howard Gene Gatlin and he preceded her in death November 2, 2000.
She worked as a telemarketer in Warren before moving to Albion where she was employed at the115 Truck Stop and Big Boy as a Prep Cook. She loved to play bingo, Doing Crossword Puzzles, Music, and Reading.
She is survived by 1 Daughter Amy (Tim) Winter of Albion; 1 Son Raymond (Santana) Gatlin of Homer;and 5 Grandchildren. Besides her Husband, she was preceded in death by her Parents and a Sister Helen Frances Cox.
Visitation for Family and Friends will be Monday August 1, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 P. M. at the Erie Street Chapel of the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 208 West Erie Street, Albion, MI 49224. Funeral Services will be Tuesday August 2, 2011 at 11:00 A. M. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Hamilton Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Homer.
