I first met Ed when he was in Vermont presenting the National Sheriffs Association WMD training program 10 years ago. From the moment I met Ed I knew he was a very special man. When we spoke on the phone the first thing he would always ask is "how is your daughter" who was being treated for cancer. Family always came first with Ed. You are a very fortunate family to have known him. I wish we had more people like Ed Willever. God bless.

I am so grateful that I met your son because I would have never known the joy of knowing you and loving you. It's hard for me to believe that you are gone. So many things remind me of you. We are surrounded by your love everywhere we look. I am so sad that you are not here with us, but what breaks my heart the most is that my children only caught a glimpse of how amazing their grandpa was.I am eternally grateful for the time we did have together and I will cherish it forever. Thank you for enriching my life in so many ways and always being there when I needed you. You will live forever in our hearts…

My Godfather..words could never express what an impact you had on my life. I will forever be thankful for summers at the shore and recent email exchanges reminding me that quitting is not an option. I feel so blessed having you as a Godfather. I will miss your big bear hugs. You were a second dad to me and no matter where we were in life I thought of you often and I always felt your big bear hig when I was in need. Your lesson to live an honest life has forever changed me. You were the perfect example of hero, humble and true. We are all better people for having you in our lives and until we meet again please watch over us and make sure we live a life like you did... simple and pure. Miss you big guy.
