Our relationship with Emmett and Becky began in Kinston in 1960. We remained lifelong friends. As a co-worker, no-one could have been more pleasant to know and to work with than Emmett. Our best to the family as they adjust to life in the days ahead. Our faith has taught us that both Emmett and Becky are in a better place.

My thoughts and prayers are with Donna, Randy, Amy, Carol, Brenda, Tom and your families.
Was sad to learn of Emmett's passing. I was fortunate to be in one of his computer classes. He, always, had a winning smile and very encouraging in our progress. Our thoughts & prayers go out to the family.
Emmett was one of those wonderful blends of professional and personal "folks" that passed along his extraordinary knowledge in a very down to earth and caring way. His skills, both in subject matter and in working with the public, made the delivery of conservation programs across the state such a success. His work will long be remembered, as will his spirit. Many thanks for all your great work and laughter over the years Emmett! Blessings to the family...
I loved working with Emmett in NRCS/SCS. He cared so much about people. He was the type of person who gave his knowledge freely and was happy helping others. Rest in peace.
