My grandma was a fun-loving woman who enjoyed the company of her friends and family. She was very welcoming no matter who you were. And she'd always make sure you were fed within her presence. She took care of everyone. Her voice was angelic and warming, it would always make me feel safe in times of fear when I was little.
Seeing her smile the first thing when I get home from work is what I will miss the most. I would always tell her that I love her day and night, and telling her that ill miss her right before leaving to any event.
My grandma was present throughout my whole life. Every morning I'd see her, up and early, making everyone breakfast. And every morning I'd repeat to not do so much because she's done a lot for us already. But she kept at it until she couldn't wake up before me. Then it wasn't her preparing the breakfast, but it was me making her breakfast. She spoiled Angela and I with all the love that she could give.
A couple years back, she went through a bypass surgery. I kept her Identification wrist band around my wrist until it broke off. As a reminder of all values she has taught me, things like.. how to respect others, show how to love one another, forgive, and how to handle failure with a positive manner
She was such an incredible woman who accomplished a lot in her life. Like raising three daughters on her own, and giving equal attention to all her grand children.
I have so many great memories with my grandmother that I can talk all day about.
I am so blessed to have been able to spend so much time with my grandmother, I wish I could have one more day with her. I was more than happy to help her when she needed me. I know that she did so much for me as a child and for the rest of her family. My grandmother had so many wonderful qualities and I hope that everyone here remembers how special she was. Although we will all miss her dearly, let's celebrate her wonderful life. Let's also share our memories and make sure that her spirit lives on in all of us.

I will always be missing you Grandma.

Mom,
It's been six months since you've left us and we still miss you around every single day because we're used to being with you in every step of our lives. Especially the way you took care of us, your hugs, and kisses, are what we miss the most. My kids and I are so lucky and blessed that you stayed with us because we learned a lot from you. You showed us how to become a better person and to have faith in God. I wish we spent more time staying home with you but it's hard being a single mom dividing time with family and work. Thank God I had a chance to stay home for a month to take care of you on your last days of your life and I'm so happy I did that because we' got closer together. I wish it didn't end too soon...I know and I feel that you're always here in spirit; guiding us with your love, to be happy, and for us to have a peaceful life together.
Mom, you're always in my heart, mind, and soul...
Love always,
Arlene
