Gary and I were reacquainted when several of us elderly PAHS guys started meeting at Panera's Bread in August 2009 and eventually became known as the Cavalier Codgers. In February 2011, I lost my wife, Judy Kay, after 49 years. Gary knew me well enough to know how sad I was. He called Anne Allen Miller who had lost her husband, Billy, and asked if I could call her. She said yes and then he called me. The rest is history and we were married on June 16, 2012. As a result, Billy Barnes gave him a pair of paper hearts joined together that Gary pinned to his lapel and thus was named Cupid at one of our gatherings. He will always be remembered and loved by all of us that knew him. He will be tremendously missed.

We share wonderful memories of the Gary.
Charlie and Gary went to Oceana and Princess Ann High School They played football together.
We are grateful to the 50th Reunion of Princess Anne High School. So many renewed friendships, including the Old Codgers.
We will miss stopping by Lawrence Moters. We will miss his laughter and the love he shared with everyone.
Our deepest sympathy

Gary was the best friend to Charlie, they shared so many memories. Some were funny but others, lets just say they never got caught!! Since the 50th Reunion, those Old Codgers have been enjoying sharing coffee and old times stories. I am so glad they decided to invite the wives to dinner. So we got to know everyone and share their fun.
Charlie and Gary went to Grammer school at Oceana and both were football players at Priness Anne High School. A Wonderful friendship, but watch out if they disagreed. They fought like brothers, then made up and were off having fun.
Charlie and I will miss stopping by to see Gary at Lawrence Motors.
Jackie, I was so happy to meet you, we had many things in commom, our careers in education and our love of children.
With Deepest sympathy, MaryAnne and Charlie
