I met Gary at PAHS when I was 15. He and several other kids would come over to my house and we would dance in my garage. Everyone wanted to dance with Gary because he was always such a great dancer...he could make any dance partner look good as well! After graduation I didn't see him again until our 50th Reunion. The reunion inspired many of us to start keeping in touch with each other. I snail-mailed our class newsletter to Gary until he finally got online with an e-mail address and then I could send it to him electronically. When he recently got on Facebook, we would exchange posts every now and then. We were conversing through Facebook posts as recently as January 3rd, neither one of us having a clue what the future held. Gary's sudden departure from this world was a big shock to a lot of people. It hit me very hard, especially since he is the second classmate we have lost already in 2014. I am sorry that I live too far away to attend his memorial service, but I am pleased to know that a lot of the Codgers will be there. I enjoyed looking at the pictures posted on this site. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and close friends who will dearly miss him.
