Greg was not only my cousin, but before that he was my friend. I miss you. Connie (Krul) Camacho
Greg enriched the lives of everyone he met. His genuine concern for others, his wonderful sense of humor, and his encouragement inspired us to be better human beings.
I have known uncle Greg my whole life as far as I can remember. As my sister mentioned, I too will always remember him lifting us high into the air on the count of "thrrrreeeee." I remember how much fun we had visiting him at his Virginia home. I loved that he live right on a golf course at the time and I would watch the golfers play through. But if by chance on the golfers hit their ball into the sand trap by uncle Greg's backyard, I was the first to insist to rake the sand after the golfer had hit the ball out; most of the golfers took me up on my offer. I remember that same day uncle Greg took my sister and I to a movie; the Flintstones (real live version). More recently we have enjoyed coming to visit uncle Greg and aunt Roz at their beautiful Colorado home. We have been skiing with them and have had numerous opportunity to enjoy the scenery on motorcycle trips. You can see that every one of my experiences with uncle Greg have been full of fun and very memorable times; from when I was very young to the last time I got to see him face to face (this last summer). The one thing that I will forever take from uncle Greg is that he was never negative and always positive. Even in his latest fight, he seemed to always view the situation as a challenge; he never called anything a problem. I love you very much uncle Greg and will forever miss you. May we all take your life, attitude and personality not as motivation for life, but as an inspiration of life...life to the fullest.
We love you and rest in peace.
There are no words that can express our deepest sympathy to you Roz. You were his Ruzenka (his rose)! You made his life complete and what a blessing you are in our lives, too. We thank you for everything you have done for Greg (our brother). We love you and you are in our thoughts and in our prayers. Greg was so special to us! He leaves us with a great void in our hearts. And we thank God for blessing us with all that Greg brought into our lives: Faith, trust in God, love of life, positive attitude, patience, kindness, his generosity and hospitality, happiness, he was always fun, his love for music (he was always humming a tune or singing), his great talent in playing instruments, especially the accordian and piano; and for all the precious memories we are left with, they are forever in our hearts. Greg was an inspiration to all who were "lucky" enough and "blessed" to know him. Greg, you will be deeply missed. We put our hand in God's hand and in faith continue on.
We love you! Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Even though Greg wasn't my actual “uncle,” my brother and I adopted him as so when we were very little. He was Uncle Greg to us and was amazing! I will forever remember his smile. Every time I saw him that's exactly what he was doing…smiling! His smile was contagious and always made me happy just standing next to him. When I was a little girl, Uncle Greg and I used to have “our thing” which he would count to 3 (and after rolling his “r” of the word three) would throw me up in the air. My husband, Craig, does this with our daughter now and every time I think of Uncle Greg. Greg was always singing a tune, doing a little dance, and always had a spring in his step as well. We had some fabulous family vacations going out to visit him and then later him and Roz. They were amazing together and I was so happy he found such an incredible person to spend the rest of his life with. We also adopted her as our Aunt too. Greg was one of those people who you come across in life that your heart will never be able to forget. I am so thankful to have known him! Even though his time here on earth has ended it will stand true that he will live on in the minds, hearts, and cherished memories of those who loved him!
