My thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Hatcher's family. Praying for you during this time.
Our hearts are aching for you, for your beautiful family, and for ourselves in the loss of Harold. You and Harold have always had such strong bonds to your faith, your family and your friends. May these bonds sustain you through this time in your life. Please know we are holding you in the light.
Gray and Hatty
Mrs. Hatcher, I am so sorry for the sudden loss of your life mate! I know the coming days will be difficult. You are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses that will uphold you....cling to them during this sad time!
Patsy, I am so sorry about Harold. You and I go back such a long way and I was so shocked to learn of his passing. You two were such a perfect couple. May your sweet memories help you thru this time and may God grant you the strength and peace you will need. He was a wonderful person. You are in my heart and thoughts.
We are shocked and saddened to learn of Harold's untimely death. Martha reminded me of his heroic catch, fully extended, of my throw wide of first base to put out the batter in an intramural softball game. We also well recall how he graciously helped us struggle to get my sofa bed--the longest and heaviest piece of furniture in a standard American household--up flight after stifling flight of stairs to our floor at the married students' apartments. I can also remember the sense of camaraderie that struck me one bleary-eyed night in 1975 at the Dallas VA Hospital when I came upon a clear and orderly Ophtho note from Harold as I reviewed the old chart on my new admission. We shall miss him.
