Jayne and family: I will deeply miss Dr. Randolph's humor, wit and vast knowledge of the Dairy Industry. He would call me at times and spend an hour discussing everything and anything. When he hung up, I felt energized!! He would make me feel very comfortable and valuable to the company by spending his time with me, teaching me about the business and serving the Customer. I met him while working for my previous employer in 1990 at a Dairy Tech Workshop in Nashville. He later spent many hours at my plant helping to develop our Culture products and Sanitation program. He was always very supportive and always shared recommendations, how to do a job better. I will miss his famous line, "What can I do for you today?" He always believed in serving the Customer and bringing value to the Customers visit. He was well respected in the Industry and I feel privileged to have worked for him. He gave me a wonderful opportunity to expand my knowledge of the Food Industry and share my experience with others. My career at Randolph Associates Inc. surpasses anything I ever had before. I will be honored to support his Legacy, serving and bringing value to the Customer. Most of all how to treat people right and make them feel comfortable and energized. My Family's thoughts go out to you and your family. Please share my condolences with your family.
Jayne, I met Henry when I was 33 at Canton, Ms. I asked my boss who he was, he said "why that is Dr. Henry Randolph". I asked what does he do, my boss said he is a consultant. I went into business for myself with Henry as my inspiration. three years later he called me and wanted to hire me. I was very flattered that he would want me but like a fool I turned him down. 27 years later he called me again and after working with him for the last 4 years I honestly wish I had not made that decision 27 years ago. I was honored the first time and greatly honored the last time. I will always regret that I missed the opportunity to work with one of the most wonderful human beings I have ever met. I told Henry this story and he laughed, I said "Doc if you would have called me one more time I wouldn't be in this mess. I deeply regret I lost that opportunity to spend 27 years knowing and working with Henry. I shall deeply miss his sense of Humor, his knowledge, and his kindness. My sincere deepest sympathy to you and your family, my sincere condolences to all who have worked with Henry and had the privilege to know him longer than me.
Henry will be missed by all those in the dairy & food industries that knew him and worked with him and the folks from Randolph Associates. He was certainly a leader in the fields of sanitation and food safety. The Dairy Practices Council will miss his friendship and support over the years.
So sorry for your loss. I have known Henry since the early 70's through the dairy industry. He was a fine man and always a great help to me.
I was saddened to learn of Dr. Randolph's passing. He and I never met but knew of each other through the food auditing business. On phone calls we would talk about our days at TTU and of Middle Tennessee (I'm from Coffee County). I would always let him know when I passed through White County. We enjoyed finding out how many people we knew in common. I wish we had gotten to meet in person.
