Dr. Blass was one of my professors a number of years ago. He trully enriched my life not only in the class room , but also outside of it. I have always thought the world of him and will miss him very much. My prayers are with you and your family. Thank you for sharing his life with me.
Linda & Scott, So terribly sorry for your loss. I am sure you have found peace in knowing Homer is free from illness and pain. My thoughts & prayers are with you and I pray God bless and comfort you in your grief.
Dr. Blass was a Godly, caring, and courageous man. It was a blessing to know him. So many held him in high regard and he will be dearly missed.
It was such a great privilege to get to know Homer over the last few years. He was a brilliant scholar and a genuinely good man. We were so gratified that our son was able to take him last fall, which turned out to be Homer's final term at LU. We know he endured a number of health difficulties at the end, and it's comforting to know that his suffering is over. The loss is ours, not his. We look forward to seeing him again, and in the meantime, his wife and son are in our prayers.

Thanks for everything, Dr. Blass, and family too. From second grade Sunday school to honors history courses, great memories. Some of my favorite and most memorable undergrad research were those challenging papers! I will be looking for some good books to read in your memory.
