A well remembered teacher and friend, rest in peace.
Howard was one of my dearest lifelong friends. He was my 3rd grade teacher in 1997 and we have kept in touch (via old fashion USPS, talks at Meijer and occasional phone calls) ever since. I stil have the journal he gave me for graduation and all of his letters. I regret not knowing of his passing until just now and missed the service by only a few hours. Please know I'm thinking of you all and will miss my pen pal.
Dear Linda,my prayers are being offered today for you and brother, memories now will be held forever, our Dads were such good men. The Oesterle's have a legacy of strong men in the family. Ed and Gay Oesterle, Ft. Meade. Fl
Memories of my years at Walters School in the middle 1950's with Mr.Osterle as our teacher have always been great long lasting memories. Have lost track of him over the years as my husband and I moved to Iowa many years ago, but am glad he had a long life and know all of us that he had as students, including my brothers, fondly remember his time with us. To Linda, Mike, and family,
Memories of your father will live on in a multitude of hearts. I knew Howard as my first principle and a humorous visitor in our home. My parents Jerry and Dorothy Spink were honored to be counted as one of his many friends for decades. We will miss him and cherish the memories.
May the peace of the Lord be with you.
