To Evelyn and his family, you all have my deepest sympathy. He was pastor at my church: Glenwood Lutheran in Toledo, Ohio. While he was there, he led a group of us and other churches to the Holy Land; that was a lifelong dream of mine come true. We covered all the important places from the Bible and I was even baptized in the Jordan River; I felt the cleansing. Going through the Marketplace in Jerusalem, he looked like the 'Pied Piper'; he was at the lead, and the rest of us followed behind. My sister, Betty and I made sure that we were right behind him; we didn't want to get left behind. I have a group picture of our group on the steps of the old Temple and when Pastor was leaving us, I gave him an enlarged picture for him to remember us. I've always liked Pastor and you too Evelyn; we missed you guys. I was shocked to hear of his passing;and you all have been in my thoughts and prayers since then and will continue.
