Mr. James William Adams

One Tuesday night (men's doubles) I was playing with Jim on court #2. On the other side was Sam, subbing for Trung (her husband). I suggested to Jim that we pick on Sam, and proceeded to hit every ball to her. Jim hit evenly to both opposing players. He didn't say anything about this until the set was over, but then I saw the only flash of anger from him ever. He said to me. "That's not the way I play the game."

Jim was a gentleman, a really good guy.

He also recommended my physical therapist to me, a man has helped me a lot with my wrist problems. I never got around to thanking him for that.

Thanks, Jim. You will be remembered. And greatly missed.

Tomoko and Ashley, I'm so sorry. That first photo, in your gallery, immediately brought tears to my eyes. I'll miss that quick smile. Everyone he met at the Laguna Woods Tennis Courts liked Jim instantly, those of us who got to know him better, truly loved him. He'll be missed by all of us.
