James William Adams 1921 - 2012

James William Adams

Friday, February 03, 2012
Our sincere commiserations go out to Virgie and the whole Adams family. May James rest in peace. As a close childhood friend of Wayne, I remember many things about his father. He was a dedicated father, husband and businessman who had a strong work ethic who built a now legendary diner chain and a great sense of humor. He always gave me a hard time in the most sincere and funny ways which I always appreciated. He will certainly be missed, but leaves behind a lovely family and Dallas business legacy.

My girls and I have been blessed to live next to Jim and Virgie Adams for the past few years. Jim always had a smile, a "guardian angel" pin and a candy bar to share (which he did often). We will miss him greatly. Virgie, may God's grace and love surround you and your family now and through the days ahead. Much love to you all!

I have known Jim Adams, as a friend and business associate for over 25 years. Not a finer man has walked this earth and been more giving to family, country and friends than James W. Adams. I will miss him and all the great conversations we have enjoyed through the years. With love and admiration, Pam Burdine
