A great spirit and a wonderful guy. I've delivered Dr. Early's mail for several years and I will miss his warm smile and big, booming hello's ;)

I was lucky enough to have known Mike when I was based in SEA in the 1970's as a flight attendant with Continental airlines. I was also lucky enough to have him use my mouth full of "not so great" teeth to help him with his boards at the University of Washington. He passed.... and I ended up with wonderful and enduring memories of this very special man. He will always hold a special place in my heart.

What a shock to hear of Dr. Early's passing. He was our family dentist for almost fifteen years. My kids actually LOVED going to the dentist from the time they were preschoolers! They'll never forget getting to pick out their prize from his special "treasure chest" when they were done!

Dr. Early succeeded in establishing a special, warm and relaxed atmosphere in his office that didn't feel "sterilized" at all -- a tribute to his warm, relaxed personality. He had also assembled a special staff that left every patient feeling cared for. He always remembered who you were, asked questions about you or your family, or what was going on in your life (even though you couldn't answer him with his fingers or tools in your mouth!).

But the one thing I'll always remember about him and that made me feel happiest of all -- is when he would personally come out to the lobby where I was sitting, after my kids had their teeth cleaned and examined -- and updated me on their dental situation, and then proceded to tell me what wonderful children I had -- what neat kids they were, how much they had grown, how mature they were becoming, how pleasant and social they were to talk to, how well behaved they were, what great looking kids they were, how much he enjoyed them when they were in his office. By the time I left, I was beaming from ear to ear.

He always went the extra mile to personally speak with you and make sure you felt good about your dental experience. We will certainly miss him. Where will we find his replacement? I'm sure others are thinking the same thing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and his staff at this very difficult time.

After attending the celebration for Mike, we are still in shock. We can't believe he is gone. Mike was our dentist for close to 30 years, starting on 156th Ave. and ending up on Bel-Red Rd. Four generations of our family went to Mike starting with my mom, Hallie Sharper, who died a few years ago at age 92, and then Jim and Nancy Bailey, their son and daughter-in-law Scott and Laurie, and their two daughters, Lindsay and Leigha. Over the years, we all looked forward to going to the dentist to see Mike and Sue. Mike was wonderful, so compasionate and caring, remembered all the little details about each family member. And we shared our love for dogs, especially Westies. We will miss Mike. And we send our special thoughts and prayers to Jill, Jeff, and Kari.
