James A. Lawrence 1925 - 2013

James A. Lawrence

I remember Mr. Lawrence as very knowledgeble and generous man. Newly married in the early 90's my wife and I purchase our first home in LaGrange which happened to border Mr. Lawrence's property. I had many conversations with James as we shared lifes experiences. His shop was always open for me to borrow as needed even if he was not home. I will forever be grateful to him.

I have alot of memories with Uncle James, I lost my dad (Gary, James brother) when I was 13 and Uncle James reminded me so much of my dad. I remember my Dad and I visiting Uncle James and family in Houston, going to the Astros game, riding bikes. Uncle James was the "bike" man. Always will remember the famous fried chicken, cooking it in the black pot that my dad had made. I remember the times we would see him at Papa and Mama Lawrence home place in Harris City. He will be missed and always will remember him. Brad Lawrence in North Carolina
