James Curtis Shipman

Thursday, November 07, 2013
With out a doubt, Jim was one of the finest men I knew. I will never forget our time working together in the Loewen Group management team. Jim's sense of humor could cause uncontrollable laughter. Being around Jim simply made you feel good. There was a time when returning from management meetings in Canada I came down with the flu. We had car pooled back to Jim and Jan's home. I was too sick to drive home to Olympia and was going to look for a hotel nearby. Jim and Jan insisted I stay with them. They nursed me back to health and I was so grateful. Jim was a true funeral director. He possessed the tools to serve to others in the most caring and professional way. I'm so thankful to have known him. You will be missed my friend.
