James William Walker M.D.
Dr. Walker was my pediatrician while raising three children. I thought he was the best! Then, 25 years later, he became my boss when I worked for the Florida Dept. of Health. He was just as kind, considerate and caring as my boss as he was when treating my children. I always thought of him as the consummate southern gentleman. I feel fortunate for having known him and worked for him. Rest in peace, Dr. Walker.
I had the pleasure of working for Dr. Walker for many years at HRS, and he was a great boss! I was so sorry to hear that he had passed away, but have many fond memories of those years. I smile when I think of Dr. Walker! Best wishes and prayers to his family.
Drs. Skinner and Walker were my children's pediatricians and it was Dr. Walker who searched the country and found the best pediatric surgeons for my son. I will always be grateful. My deepest sympathy to you, Mary, your children and grandchildren with special thoughts to Bodie whom I knew when he was a child.
Mary, I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Walker's death. I worked with him at PIMCO in its beginning years and thought so highly of him. I also have fond memories of the Tennessee/Florida football game we attended together in Knoxville, hosted by John Roberts. I was interested in reading about your children and their children in the obit. You will all be in my thoughts.
I was so sorry to hear of Dr. Walker's passing. I also worked for Children's Medical Group. I count those as the best nursing years of my career. It was a very busy office, often times 5 of the 7/8 partners seeing patients at the same time! Dr Walker was an organizer! He ran a tight ship. He was also a dear friend. Love and prayers to to Mary and all the family.
