We are sorry for your loss, but know that your family is in our prayers.
We knew Jim during our 15 years in KY-TN Kiwanis. We will miss him. His smile and his faith were contagious and will continue to brighten and inspire our lives even in his death.
Dear Aimee, David and Philip,
We are saddened with the news of Mr. Ware's passing. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you comfort and peace today and in the days to come.
With Deepest Sympathy,
Rick and Belinda Glenn
Jim Ware, a long-time Kiwanian, provided exceptional service to his community, to his local Kiwanis club, to the Kentucky-Tennessee District, and to Kiwanis International. He was also dedicated to serving the world through the Kiwanis International Foundation. He will be greatly missed by his former students, colleagues, friends, and fellow Kiwanians.
Dr Ware was my math teacher while at McCallie as well as at UTC. I always enjoyed his instruction. It was obvious that he loved what he was doing. At one point while at UTC I was considering switching my major from math after receiving a disappointing grade in one math class. His counseling and encouragement led me to stay with math, and I graduated with a math major and taught for many years.
I told him and his wife about his influence one year at a McCallie reunion. He was touched by it, and tears came to his eyes. I remember him with great fondness and respect.
